Big Star Branding was started in 1988 by one woman in her kitchen, and has grown to become one of the largest Screen Printing and Embroidery shops in Texas now offering over 850,000 imprintable products to help grow your company and branding awareness.
Kathie Rowe has always been an “out of the box” dreamer. Even as a young child she dreamed of growing up to be an artist. This dream took her to study art at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and afterward went to work in New Orleans for Muller Advertising Agency as their “in-house” artist. From there she continued in the advertising radio industry.
After her husband accepted a job transfer to San Antonio, Kathie used her artistic marketing experience and started Big Star Branding (then known as Expressive T-Shirts), catering to San Antonio’s ever growing tourist industry. What was once a single pad press printer on her kitchen counter has grown to over 6,200 square feet of warehouse with a production team that can screen print 1,000 t-shirts an hour, and embroider everything from toilet paper to leather!
In 2000, Kathie joined the Promotional Products Association International adding over 850,000 different products to Big Star’s imprintable line, and in 2010 they expanded yet again with the addition of in-house printing for banners and vehicle graphics/wraps.
The dreaming doesn’t end there. Big Star Branding launched its full e-commerce website in late 2010 spreading its reach well beyond the state of Texas to around the world.
